Easy Peasy Cheese Ball: Hello Tutorial Thursday

I have been doing some hosting recently and came across this recipe somewhere several years and hadn't tried it.  I don't even remember where I found it, but everyone loved it and nothing was left.  So here's to Cheese Balls!

1 package of Cream Cheese (I use 1/3 less fat)
2 cup of shredded cheddar
1 package of dry ranch dip (maybe a little less depending on personal taste)
2 cups of chipped pecans

1.  Set out cream cheese to soften a few hours before making the cheese ball.

2.  Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and ranch together.

3.  Mix into a ball and put in fridge for 30 minutes or so.

4.  Take out of fridge and then roll cheese ball in pecans until all the cheese ball is covered in pecans.  Store in fridge until ready to serve.

...makes for an easy, but pleasing appetizers.  This can also be made ahead making for easy hosting.  I have even made up several and froze them, so I just have to grab them out of the freezer a few hours ahead of hosting.
