Tutorial Thursday - Recycled Craft

This is a cute and fun way to express yourself to your loved ones...

Here is what you need:
Old frame
Craft paint
Felt or fabric
Hot Glue gun
Dry erase marker

Start by disassembling the frame and giving it a
fresh new coat of paint or maybe two coats.

To make the flowers cut a large circle from the felt,
then starting on the edge start cutting in a coil shape (similar to a snake that is coiled up) the cut does not have to be straight but make it more curvy.
(as seen in my picture) also note that when I got the the center of my circle I left a small circle which will be used once the flower is made.
Starting where you started to cut the coil; start rolling the
flower until you have reached the smaller circle in the center, put a small glue dot to hold the end, then glue all over the bottom of the finished flower and press small circle at end on bottom of flower. You may need to trim the excess from the small circle.

Here is a link that I found for some other type of felt flowers as well.
once the flowers are made and the frame is painted, you are ready to start gluing the flowers to the frame

on a piece of paper that is the size of the picture for the frame write or type what you want the dry erase frame to be about.
Such as… To Do, Don’t Forget, I am Thankful for, I love you because… etc.
Then put in a special place and write some notes.
I made mine for the Hubby so I can express in words all the reasons why I love him, maybe I can even get him to participate :)
